Multicast Rigid is a strong
low-temperature thermoplastic material
that follows the exact contours of the
treated surface. After processing it transforms
into a hard splint. It does not need reinforcing,
is rigid, light-weight and does not shrink.
Characteristics
of Multicast Rigid:
- Extra rigidity
- Extra strength
- Possibility of vertical (anti-gravity)
positioning
- Recommended for orthosis with large
surface
Application of Multicast Rigid:
- To soften material, place it into
a water bath at 60°C-65°C (140
- 149°F) for 2 minutes or until
sufficiently soft.
- When ready, remove from the water
and lay on a flat, preferably wooden
surface.
- Wait a few seconds (until bearably
warm) and apply onto the patient.
Typical Applications:
VERY GOOD for finger, wrist, metacarpus
splint
IDEAL for nose and low back brace
