Multicast  Rigid

Multicast Rigid is a strong low-temperature thermoplastic material that follows the exact contours of the treated surface. After processing it transforms into a hard splint. It does not need reinforcing, is rigid, light-weight and does not shrink.

 

Characteristics of Multicast Rigid:

  • Extra rigidity
  • Extra strength
  • Possibility of vertical (anti-gravity) positioning
  • Recommended for orthosis with large surface


Application of Multicast Rigid:

  1. To soften material, place it into a water bath at 60°C-65°C (140 - 149°F) for 2 minutes or until sufficiently soft.

  2. When ready, remove from the water and lay on a flat, preferably wooden surface.

  3. Wait a few seconds (until bearably warm) and apply onto the patient.


Typical Applications:

VERY GOOD for finger, wrist, metacarpus splint

IDEAL for nose and low back brace

RECCOMENDED for tibia, knee, ankle brace and body splints
